BIO

I was born in Malaga (Spain). When I was 8, my dad bought me some windsurfing gear. There weren’t kites then where I was living. I lived very close to Tarifa so we went there very frequently.
In 2003 I started to kite because I’d seen it in Malaga and Tarifa, so I really wanted to start. My brother and I took some lessons and we bought our first kite. That summer we learned to kite but we went back to Malaga in September, therefore we didn’t kite much in the winter.
The next summer (2004), we came back to Tarifa and I started to kite every day. I progressed a lot and I got my first sponsors. We didn’t want to go back to Malaga, we wanted to spend the winter in Tarifa, so we did.
That year I started to compete. I entered my first competition and I won. It was in Tarifa and everybody was surprised with my victory, including me.
In 2006 I started to do some PKRA but I just got 13th place in Tarifa, Cabarete and
Fuerteventura.
2007 was my last year at school. Everything was okay there. I continued studying in Tarifa but I didn’t kite much during winter because of my studies. This year was the most difficult as I had to study a lot.
When I finished I went straight to Cabarete PKRA. I got 9th place and it was ok. I hadn´t practised a lot so I wasn´t expecting something like this. After that competition I went back to Tarifa for the summer, where I spent all day on the beach, practising about 4 or 5 hours every day.
So after that was the Fuerteventura PKRA. I wasn’t expecting to get 3rd place, so I was really happy with that result. Later I went to Germany where I unfortunately got a bad result ,but after that I went to Brazil where I got 2nd place and I beat almost all the TOP riders. That was the moment when I decided to do the world tour in 2008.
