2nd in Morocco, 1st in France and leading the tour!
Hey Guys. Sorry for not updating my blog after Morocco. These 2 competitions have been really close together. I’ve been updating my facebook page daily though.
So this is my first time being the tour current leader. It feels really good and it is bringing me a lot of motivation to go for the title this year.
I started the year riding pretty good in Morocco. Managed to win the singles and on the final had the best score of the new system so far (54,6 points out of 70). That got me really stoked to go for the doubles as well but unfortunately the wind wasn’t that strong and I couldn’t get as much power as I needed it and lost twice against Youri, and the second time was by just 0,3 points of difference. So I went to France really wanting to win the event. France is one of the places that anything can happen. On the single elimination’s day, the wind was really strong and I was riding my 5,5. I had a really bad heat at the first round but luckily rode better at the end and managed to win my heat. On the next rounds I started to get used to my small kite and to control it better and ended up landing back mobe 5′s, KGB’s, front blind mobes… which were really hard in those conditions.
On every heat I was feeling better and managed to win the singles. In the double elimination also had a really good heat and won the event, which put me on first place overall!! Now it’s time to train for a month until the next PKRA tour stop in Holland.
